When the Seattle Seahawks are about to usher the first preseason game, they have more determining factor about the Running Back.
Thomas Rawls will become the main running back of Seahawks in the new season, has passed medical and been removed from the injury list. Rawls was placed on the reserve due to an ankle fracture when the training camp started.
Rawls’ return supports his claim that he can be ready when the season starts. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told the media last month Rawls and tight end Jimmy Graham were close to returning to training.
Seahawks may slowly increase the amount of training for Rawls, so he did not attend the Sunday’s training. Rawls became the rushing threat after the core Marshawn Lynch got hurt in the last season.
Rawls’ return is a positive signal to the Seahawks’ pre-season plans, although there may have a few weeks away from Rawls can run at full speed again.
