On Saturday, the bench running back was moved to the injury reserve due to failure to attend training camp. Mason didn’t attend the offseason training as well. The Rams coach Jeff Fisher attributed his absence to “personal reasons”.
Mason was arrested in March and indicted on charges of involved in drugs and violate the traffic rules, what’s more, he dealt with the police five times in the past four months. In June, Fisher acknowledged Rams would ready for the absence of Mason.
Fisher disclosed this Saturday he has not contacted with Mason since the end of the last season, Fisher added, Mason is no longer to contact the team.
TMZ reported earlier that Mason’s family very worried about his spirit situation, saying he had “a series of bizarre behavior.”
Though we doubt whether the Rams will cut Mason or not, his personal safety is the main cause for concern.
